/// Our VISION Every student from Ethiopian villages can get an education and pursue their dreams. While education continues to be a struggle for students in the countryside, Young Hopefuls strives to ease the burden on students and empower individuals and communities.
Backpacks to Ease the Burden
There are thousands of children living in rural areas who have a such a strong passion for learning that they travel to the nearest more developed area to attend classes. They walk 16-20 miles every day, from home to school and back, carrying all of their school supplies in their arms. They walk through mountainous pathways under the harsh sun. They don't give up through their daily trials because they desire a stable future living their dream, not just resigning to the fate of a farmer. Even though a backpack is a small thing to us, it means the world to the students of the countryside. It means their education.

YOUNG HOPEFULS SENDS FIRST BACKPACKS to tigray!
With the help of the TDA and Ethiopian Airlines, Young Hopefuls has successfully sent backpacks to 580 students! We can't thank everyone who helped enough for all they did!! The students had smiles to go around and shared their joy with our helpers in Tigray who distributed and handed backpacks personally to every student. As happy as we are, there are so many more students who need backpacks. Please continue to support Young Hopefuls and spread the word to your sphere of influence!
